Chateau Gurdjaani – is the oldest winemaking manor in Georgia, built in the early 19th century by the great politician and founder of the Georgian wine culture – Prince Alexander Chavchavadze. The wine is exclusive, made from the best grapes of Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane that are cultivated in the strictly controlled Tsinindali zone, the name of which holds the Protected Designation of Origin status.

Since the bottle is made of black ceramics, the initial task for this project was to develop a metallic label printing design in order to make the bottle look like hammered ironwork . One of the requirements for the label was to make it look like a combination of Georgian traditions and modern visuals. Therefore, we’ve developed a modern spelling for the Chateau Gurdjaani brand in a French style, while using, at the same time, traditional elements of Georgian wine labels.
